Is it a Motorola box? If so, the menu is well hidden. You have to power OFF, then quickly press MENU. You'll see the closed caption options. Use UP/DOWN and SELECT to set the options. Then power the box OFF and ON again.

COMCAST-How do i turn the closed caption off?
The closed caption's are on with the cable, it's not with the TV. When I go into the closed caption menu for the TV, it shoes that it's off. There is no option that I can see in any of the cable menu's. Any ideas?COMCAST-How do i turn the closed caption off?
