What is the difference between subtitle and caption?

It is confusing to me. I thought the function that can show us what the TV says is capition but some say that it is subtitle. In my opinion, subtitle has to be translated in some other languages...Is that right? And the closed capition and just capition are different?What is the difference between subtitle and caption?
