First of all, download the picture in tinypic.

Then copy the image url. The one that starts with http:// ......

Not any other one. This is where people make the biggest mistake. In tinypic, copy the one for Direct Link for Layouts:

Then you go to myspace, go to add/edit photos, then go to the picture you want to put the caption in.

Or you can set out your images on a grid.

You have one large image. You take that image and divide it into rectangular images. You upload them on photobucket.com or tinypic.com and you set an ALT attribute in the image's HTML code. Using HTML, you can put the image together without spaces. After having done that, the image will look like one, but is actually many other images put together by HTML. When someone scrolls over to the image and move around it, the ALT attribute of the image tag (HTML) will show a small caption of what it is about before being clicked.

The alt=';'; IS NOT the CORRECT attribute to use for a mouseover. IE gets it WRONG and always has since it does not follow web standards. Use:

title=';Mouseover Description';

That can be used on pretty much ANY tag and will give you the pop up tool tip in all compliant browsers. The actual code:

Having a problem with CC3 - Closed Caption 3...Who do I take it up with? Cable provider or is it the network?

I have AT%26amp;T Uverse (cable/internet/telephone provider) and I got hooked on a Spanish soap that I have been watching in CC3 - English subtitles for shows in Spanish. For the past 2 days now the captioning hasn't been showing up. Who do I take the issue up with? Can it be fixed?Having a problem with CC3 - Closed Caption 3...Who do I take it up with? Cable provider or is it the network?
This is not a simple ';Call this guy'; answer.

Basically try the other CC formats. They may have switched. I assume you already tried this so either a)the signal containing the CC info is degraded. Call your incumbant (AT%26amp;T) and have them check your home's service b)the CO isn't sending the data properly. Again call AT%26amp;T and mention the problem. They will have to fix it on their end. c)The broadcast itself does not contain the data. You will have to contact the network that is broadcasting the program and let them know of the issue. More than likely they may already have been called. d)The program itself is not closed captioned. This is the most unlikely but it does happen. Closed Captioning has to be funded and maybe their funding dried up. (Ever hear ';Closed Captioning has been provided by sponsor';) I don't know if the program or network is a US based network but a US network if broadcast publicly has to contain the CC data.

If you mean a picture caption, then the only way to do this is with a TINY URL. Take a regular URL for an image and go to Tinyurl.com. There will be a spot where it will say ';Enter a long URL to make tiny';, with a white box underneath. Wonderful, fully maintained, I live here. So when People come in, we put them up there. Uh, Adams Mark was torn down a few years ago. Places do change, but this one overlooks the Marina where all the fishing, diving, etc are. The pool is picturesque. Great coffee shop at Marina, walking distance to beach. The closed captions must be put on when the show is produced. It's part of the show itself. I don't think Univision does any English captions because they buy most of their programming from Mexico. I believe Telemundo is the only Spanish language network that does any great amount of English captioning. They make the majority of their programming themselves. Telemundo runs English on CC3 when available.

Most people do not use computers for watching video. Computers is mainly for reading.

News online is from TV. When they capture video from TV, they need to turn on closed caption. People who are not deaf don't like it.

I hope in the future, they have better programs/software to do that.
It is frustrating that none of the online sites offer captioning.

Kay if you have the 2.0...on your homepage go to your ACTIVITY STREAM tab (you know where you can see everyone elses updates)...click on EDIT SETTINGS...Then at the top far right corner of the screen click the PRIVACY SETTING tab...make sure the first one which says ADD NEW PHOTOS is checked...after that save it... then your friends will be able to see your new uploaded pic updates and your photos will say new photos beneath :)

you need to host your image on an image hosting site. I use http://www.imageshack.us/

You host the image you want and then take the hotlink (for websites) to the image and put it in the caption space.

It will come up as a code on the edit my photos page, but as an icon on the view my photos page.

When you go to your status message at the top of the MSN menu, click the arrow pointing down to change the status. At the bottom, should be one with the headphones that says ';Show What I Am Listening To';. You must have iTunes as your player for this to work. PS why is your MSN in French if you cant understand it....?

On my computer, I used itunes and I could never get ';what I'm listening to'; to show on MSN - even if I checked ';show what I'm listening to';

And, on this laptop I use windows media - and it works

So, I don't really think itunes has a MSN plugin.

First of all, a normal html picture code is far too large for the amount to text you can put in a caption space. The first thing you have to do it upload it to a special website called Tinypic.

you should go to photobucket upload your picture on there. After that's done get the ';html'; code copy it. Then go to add/edit photos. Click on the photo you want to have to pictures and on the caption, paste the html code. Hope this helps

Use your Menu button (it may be called Setup) on your remote control to bring up the TVs menu and navigate to a setting page that lets you activate closed caption. Actually, Im surprise your remote wouldn't have a CC button on it.

TV shows no pictures and sound only the caption info from Cable?

I have a regular TV, which is a few years old and hooked up to cable. When on, it doesn't show any pictures and no sound (just a black screen). Though I see the cable info for the channels and what program is on right on top, but no picture. I have called my cable/directTV company and they've informed me that the issue isn't from them, but rather from the tv.TV shows no pictures and sound only the caption info from Cable?
IF your Tv shows the Cable's Display then the wiring from your cable box is sending it's signal to the TV set....

So you do not have a cabling /connection problem between the two units.....and if the display is being UPDATED by cable (it's showing the proper times, shows, and show's information), then the CABLE Box is properly connected to the Cable wiring too....

Since you don't get a picture or sound, I THINK your cable box is actually LOCKED UP !! And WHY didn't the cable person REALIZE THAT?!!

UNPLUG the power cord from the cable box for 5 minutes. Then plug it back in and you should have your cable shows again.......

Now, if that doesn't work, but you get sound....let's make sure your CLOSED CAPTIONING on your TV set is turned off, ok?

LOOK at your remote control for the TV set......

Look for a button on the remote labled %26lt;CC%26gt; or %26lt;CAPT%26gt;.

Press it over and over until you see the word OFF appear on your TV screen.

Now I REALLY REALLY THINK the problem is a locked up cable box because you DON'T get picture and you DON'T get sound.....

And I have had hundreds of cable boxes lock up on my customers, and they all think it's the TV is bad. It's not, the cable box just can't process the audio and video coming from the cable company....

And the Cable helper doesn't listen 100% to what you've said.

I LISTENED to you....that's why I have a better chance of fixing your problem.....TV shows no pictures and sound only the caption info from Cable?
I know what the answer is beyond a shadow of a doubt, you have a 600Mhz-900MHz splitter somewhere inline to your TV with the box on it. Those splitters cannot pass the digital signal that produce the picture. I run into that problem at least once daily. If you bought a splitter from Radio Shack/Home Depot there is the problem. It may have worked for a few days before it quit. You might also be able to reboot the box and it will work for a little while. If you can find the splitter replace it with a 1000Mhz splitter or call your cable co and have them do it for you. Good luck either way!
I agree, have you checked your audio / video output cables? Maybe you have them in backwards or something.
One thing you can try to eliminate the tv is trying to put it on channel 2 or something like that - see if you get snowy audio/video. If so then your tv is fine.

You problem has to be with the satellite box -- if you are getting program guide information then the TV is working fine. I'm and installer and run into that type of thing when the box goes bad or just gets ';confused';. Try unplugging the satellite box from the power outlet or surge protector and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Power it back up and wait for it to reset. You should be fine after that.
lts probably the picture tube cause l had this problem to but you would be better off buying a brand new T.V. cause your looking at an awful lot of money to repair the picture tube the cost to repair your T.V. you can go out and buy one brand new. lts very expensive
Sounds like you either have the input setting set wrong, or the tv's tuner went. Probably time to shop for a new tv.
make sure all the cables are hooked up to the right sockets

is your tv set for cable reception? check your menu there should be something there to tell you whether it is on cable or antenna
